I have enjoyed art from a young age, studying various media during high school and university. A love of oil painting emerged, but remained a secondary interest during an education in the neurosciences, a career in the biomedical field and raising a family. Now retired, time is allowing me to re-explore artistic creativity. My preferred medium is oil paint on canvas using the palette knife and brush, using broad strokes and vivid colours. I enjoy painting nature, especially landscapes-often with birch trees- and flowers. Spending time in the Laurentians provides enormous inspiration—autumn colours, blue lakes, snowy mountains.
