Embroidery and printmaking are two modes of artistic expression that require creativity, imagination and a certain search for perfection in the execution of the work.
In 2004, while I was taking classes at the Écomusée de la Broderie on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal, I had the chance to learn Glazik embroidery with Pascal Jaouen, founder of the Quimper School in France. I was immediately attracted to this tech-nique which consists of filling in pre-designed spaces with relatively simple stitches. Moving away from the traditional Breton motifs, I have evolved over the years towards the interpretation of designs of personal inspiration where I mix silk threads and various decorative elements, beads, sequins, feathers, cords...
